Bayswater Childcare Centre & Kindergarten

We run a kindergarten program for 3- and 4-year-olds who attend long day care at our Centres. Our kindergarten program is delivered by qualified early childhood teachers for 5 hours a day during day care hours. Full-height glass sliding doors bathe the Kinder early learning rooms with sunlight and encourage children to move easily between indoor and outdoor learning opportunities. We value our strong partnerships with families, recognising that families are a child’s first and most important teachers.
Spread across two levels, our dedicated Nursery and Kinder areas are connected by a central staircase, allowing these differing developmental groups to learn, play, run and explore effortlessly within their own preschool bayswater purpose-built spaces. Knox City Council acknowledges the traditional custodians of the City of Knox, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. Leading this exciting new chapter is Sally and Naomi, who bring together a combination of over 40 years of rich experience in the early childhood sector, with many of them in leadership and management. Naomi will bring her vast experience to the Centre Director role which gives her a unique and holistic understanding of the sector. Her hands-on approach and deep commitment ensure that every child, family, and educator is supported with genuine care and insight. Both centres are open 49 weeks of the year, closing for 1 day during the year for professional development and approximately two weeks between the end of December and early January.
