This  initiative aims to instill a deep-seated appreciation and understanding of Australia’s Indigenous heritage in every child, right from their early years.

In 2010, the seventh centre to open under the umbrella of the Bayswater Child Care Association was the Maylands Out of School Care after a request from the Maylands Peninsula Primary School P&C. TeamKids – Bayswater South Primary has 60 approved places, representing approximately 0% of the total count for Team Holiday Pty Ltd. Great Beginnings Bayswater has 87 approved places, representing approximately 44% of the total count for Jacaranda Operations Pty Limited. Our centre is located next to the Colchester Medical Centre & opposite Colchester Nursery.
Silverwood Child Care Centre provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for children to explore, interact, learn and most of all, develop and encourage their own individual personalities. Parents are welcome to come alone, or with their children (children are more than welcome to engage with the other children and play while they wait). Parents / caregivers will be introduced to our friendly staff, shown the areas that we use and a given a general rundown of the service and an opportunity to ask any questions they have.
Our flexible routines are tailored to the diverse needs of each age group, supporting children to thrive at their own pace. Children develop a strong sense of identity as they feel safe, secure and supported, building confidence, resilience and a positive sense of self. Through group activities, conversations and play, children learn to interact with others with care, empathy and respect, building positive relationships and friendships. Play Day Trials are a complimentary service designed  to provide a smooth transition for your child into our care environment.

Lollipop’s indoor play centre in Bayswater promotes healthy activity in a safe and secure, fully air conditioned environment. Our security system gives you the peace of mind that comes with knowing your children and their friends are safe. We are very lucky to have a qualified chef with many years of experience at our service cooking nutritious, healthy and delicious meals for the children. Our chef is at the centre five days a week, involved in the program and often cooks with the children.
Our centre, it’s educators and the outside community is proud of the inclusive curriculum provided to support families and children with additional needs. We provide a long day care (childcare) program for children between birth to 6 years at our Children and Family Centres. All services under one roof also means that your child's development can easily be supported from early age through to kindergarten without the need for repeat conversations between families and staff. Our Children and Family Centres in Bayswater and Wantirna South bring together long day care, kindergarten, maternal and child health services and playgroups in one location. It’s common for a child to experience separation anxiety when they first start child care.

Our evidence-based Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR) program is designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. As an incorporated association, BCCA is directed and controlled by a Management Committee (Board). The Committee is made up of voting and non-voting members, representing parents, community members, and staff. Families that use BCCA services are encouraged to join the association as members to nominate and elect representatives. Committee members have legal and ethical responsibilities to ensure the association acts lawfully and is resourced and directed towards achieving its community-focused vision and mission.
