The Association sought to highlightthe Ale Trail through new blade signs to sit underneath road names signs,enhance the visitor experience and provide better assistance for those usingthe Ale Trail.

Officers propose thatCouncil approve $150,000 for the development of the Water Services ConsultationDocument and that the budget be funded from “Transition funding”and “Better Off funding” still available. The expanded group of10 is anticipated to be reflective of the participating councils views, andwill greatly assist in ensuring the timelines are achieved. Officers consider itunlikely that a draft Wai+T option could be prepared by mid-March should all 34Elected Representative and 4 Mayors be involved in every part of thedevelopment of the draft joint consultation document. If Councilscan choose to use the consultation process provided in the PAA, (referred to asthe alternative consultation process) then only the status quo and onealternative option need to be consulted on. Councils are entitled toconsult on more than one option, however the PAA does not require Councils toconsult on all reasonably practical options, only a minimum of two.
In 2018, this Council voted to endorse ICAN’s Citiesappeal, a call from councils all over the world for their governments toendorse this Treaty.
